Applications, Licences and Permits

The Township of South Glengarry requires permits and licenses for certain activities. If you are unsure whether or not your project or activity requires a permit or license please contact the Township office and our staff will gladly assist you.

Planning Pre-Consultation: Contact the Community Planner to schedule a pre-consultation meeting for any planning applications.

Building Permit Applications: Can be made by e-mail, by regular mail, or by placing them in an envelope and leaving them in the mail box by the main entrance door at the municipal office located at 6 Oak Street in Lancaster.

Permit Consultation Meetings: Can be arranged by appointment only. Please call 613-347-1166 ext. 2205 or e-mail to schedule a telephone or zoom meeting with staff.

Permit Pickup: Can be arranged by appointment only. Please call 613-347-1166 ext. 2205 or email to schedule a time.

Building Inspections: Can be scheduled by calling 613-347-1166 ext. 2205 or by e-mailing your request. Please remember to include the permit number, address of the project and stage of inspection. We ask that you respect social distancing of 2 metres while building officials are conducting an inspection.

Accelerated High-Speed Internet Program (AHSIP) :  Participants please contact our Infrastructure Department to obtain details on how to apply for a Municipal Consent & Work-In-Right-Of-Way.
